Wow! I'm amazed that this doesn't have hundreds of comments on it already!
This is absolutly beautiful. The fur is so nicely textured. I love the wavyness of it and how realistic it is. The way that it doesn't all flow in one direction is very natural looking. The tone variation and the way some areas have picked up the light is really eye catching. I also like how the fur seems to stand up ontop of the dogs head
The anatomy of the dogs face and shoulders is spot on. It adds to the realism of the peice. I think it's wonderful how well you've encorporated the markings of the dog in with the tones and light variations. I know that it's something i would struggle to do half as well as this.
And i really do love how you've drawn the collar and dog tag. The writing on the tag looks so realistic, like a real engraving.
to do hair like that...takes a loooooot of patience...I envy you..very very well done

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
